A quick and easy take on a beloved Korean dish, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet, stirring occasionally until fragrant.
  3. Introduce the ground beef into the skillet and cook until thoroughly browned.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce and broccoli florets; cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the broccoli is tender.
  5. Spoon the savory beef mixture over a mound of cooked rice and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Leftover Korean beef can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving. Freezing in single servings allows for up to a month of storage.
