Description

A classic brunch dish featuring poached eggs, Canadian bacon, and rich hollandaise sauce, all served on toasted English muffins.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 English muffins
  • 4 slices of Canadian bacon
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup hollandaise sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare to poach the eggs by bringing a pot of water to a gentle simmer and adding vinegar.
  2. Crack each egg into a small bowl and gently slide it into the simmering water. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Toast the English muffins until golden brown and warm the Canadian bacon in a separate pan.
  4. Assemble each toasted muffin half with a slice of bacon and a poached egg on top.
  5. Drizzle hollandaise sauce over each egg and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Add chopped parsley for garnish if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For the perfect poached eggs, maintain gentle simmering water. Store leftovers separately and reheat poached eggs in simmering water.
