- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2–4 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy.
- Gradually add in the powdered sugar while mixing until well combined.
- Add the vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream or milk.
- Beat on high speed until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- If too thick, add more cream or milk, one tablespoon at a time, to reach desired consistency.
Notes
Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Taste as you go and adjust sweetness if necessary.
