Description

A quick and decadent stuffed French toast recipe, filled with cream cheese and topped with maple syrup, perfect for brunch.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter for cooking
  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture on 4 slices of bread and top with the remaining slices to make sandwiches.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and cinnamon.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a bit of butter.
  5. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, coating both sides, then place in the skillet.
  6. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with maple syrup.
