Description
A rich and hearty cheeseburger soup that combines the comforting flavors of beef, cheese, and vegetables in a creamy broth.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Sauté the aromatics: In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, onions, and garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are soft.
- Drain the fat: Once the beef is beautifully browned, drain any excess fat from the pot and return the beef mixture back to the heat.
- Combine and boil: Add the beef broth, diced potatoes, carrots, and celery to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer until the veggies are tender.
- Incorporate the creaminess: Stir in the milk, shredded cheddar cheese, and Worcestershire sauce, cooking until the cheese is melted and the soup is heated through.
- Season to perfection: Taste your soup and season with salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot.
