Description

Delightful crispy shrimp bites coated in breadcrumbs and served with a zesty, spicy mayonnaise sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lime juice, and season with salt and pepper. Set aside the sauce.
  2. In a shallow bowl, place cornstarch. In another bowl, keep your beaten egg ready. In a third bowl, pour out the breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each shrimp in cornstarch, shake off excess, dip in beaten egg, and roll in breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add shrimp and fry until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Remove shrimp and let them drain on paper towels. Serve with the zesty sauce for dipping.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute Greek yogurt for the sauce or use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
