- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
- Green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken by mixing it with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
- Toss in the sliced mushrooms and bell pepper (if using), and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes.
- Sprinkle black pepper over the dish and mix well.
- Cook for another minute to meld flavors together, then remove from heat.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions.
