Description

A nostalgic and comforting dessert featuring juicy blackberries topped with a crunchy crumble.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the fresh blackberries with granulated sugar and lemon juice in a bowl.
  3. Mix together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Cut in the softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the blackberries in the baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Serve warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
