Description

A delightful cake combining almond flour and candied orange for a sweet, citrusy experience.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Candied orange slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the orange juice and zest.
  5. In another bowl, mix together the almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Garnish with candied orange slices once completely cooled.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
