- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups cooked ham, diced
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven by warming your kitchen with the oven preheated to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the Macaroni in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain well and set aside.
- Combine Ingredients in a large mixing bowl: gather the drained macaroni, diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix it All Together using a spatula until just combined.
- Transfer to a Baking Dish by pouring the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Create the Crunchy Topping by combining the melted butter with breadcrumbs in a small bowl, then sprinkling it over the macaroni bake.
- Bake to Perfection in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Rest and Serve by letting it cool for a few minutes before diving in.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding cooked broccoli or swapping ham for chicken. Can be prepped in advance to save time.
