Description

A comforting and hearty egg bake filled with fresh broccoli and melted cheese, perfect for brunch or quick breakfasts.


Ingredients

  • 12 Large Eggs
  • 1 lb Fresh Broccoli Florets, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup Milk or Half-and-Half
  • 1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Gruyère or Swiss Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Diced Yellow Onion
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Cooked, Diced Ham (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil or Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the broccoli by steaming or blanching it for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Sauté the onion in olive oil or butter for 5-7 minutes, then add garlic and optional ham.
  4. Create the egg mixture by whisking the eggs with milk, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  5. Combine the sautéed mixture with blanched broccoli in the baking dish, then cover with shredded cheeses.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the ingredients, pressing down any sticking components.
  7. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
  8. Rest the bake for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
