- 12 Large Eggs
- 1 lb Fresh Broccoli Florets, cut into small pieces
- 1 cup Milk or Half-and-Half
- 1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1/2 cup Shredded Gruyère or Swiss Cheese
- 1/2 cup Diced Yellow Onion
- 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Cooked, Diced Ham (optional)
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil or Butter
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the broccoli by steaming or blanching it for 2-3 minutes.
- Sauté the onion in olive oil or butter for 5-7 minutes, then add garlic and optional ham.
- Create the egg mixture by whisking the eggs with milk, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Combine the sautéed mixture with blanched broccoli in the baking dish, then cover with shredded cheeses.
- Pour the egg mixture over the ingredients, pressing down any sticking components.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
- Rest the bake for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
