Description

A comforting and creamy cheesy rice dish, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or as a side.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the rice, butter, salt, and pepper.
  3. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 18 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted.
  5. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat with a splash of water or add more cheese for moisture.
