Description

Delightful and healthy homemade dog treats made with apple and carrot.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup apple puree
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the whole wheat flour, apple puree, grated carrots, rolled oats, chicken or vegetable broth, and the egg in a large bowl until a dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick on a floured countertop.
  4. Cut out desired shapes using cookie cutters.
  5. Arrange the cut-out treats on a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each treat.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or freeze for longer storage. Experiment with different vegetables or purees for variations.
