Description

A classic Italian dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a tangy, buttery sauce with capers and lemon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup capers
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sauté the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  5. In the same skillet, add butter, lemon juice, chicken broth, and capers. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve alongside pasta or a fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
