A decadent cheesecake combining rich chocolate flavors with refreshing orange zest.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 cup chocolate ganache
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a mixing bowl.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan to form a sturdy crust.
- Beat the cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add the granulated sugar.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, then add the eggs one at a time.
- Add the sour cream, orange zest, and orange juice, mixing until smooth.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust.
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Cool the cheesecake completely at room temperature.
- Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Cover the cooled cheesecake with chocolate ganache before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature cream cheese for a smooth filling. Line the bottom of the springform pan with parchment paper for easier release.
