Description

Delightful cupcakes decorated to resemble Christmas lights, bringing joy and creativity to your holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 4 cups buttercream frosting
  • Food coloring (red, green, yellow, blue)
  • Chocolate candies or edible marker for light bulbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Mix the dry mixture into the wet mixture alternately with the milk.
  6. Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full with batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cupcakes completely before frosting.
  9. Color the buttercream frosting with food coloring.
  10. Frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate with chocolate candies or draw light bulbs using an edible marker.

Notes

These cupcakes can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerated for up to a week. Bring to room temperature before serving.
