- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

- Food coloring (red, green, yellow, blue)
- Chocolate candies or edible marker for light bulbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
- Cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Mix the dry mixture into the wet mixture alternately with the milk.
- Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full with batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool the cupcakes completely before frosting.
- Color the buttercream frosting with food coloring.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate with chocolate candies or draw light bulbs using an edible marker.
Notes
These cupcakes can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerated for up to a week. Bring to room temperature before serving.
