Description

This Classic Tuna Melt features a cheesy, creamy filling and a golden, buttery exterior, making it the perfect comfort food sandwich.


Ingredients

  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of cheese (e.g., cheddar or American)
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Combine the tuna mixture: In a bowl, mix together the drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, onion, salt, and pepper.
  2. Build your sandwich bottoms: Spread the tuna mixture evenly on two slices of bread.
  3. Add the cheesy goodness: Top each tuna-filled slice with a slice of cheese, then cover with the remaining bread slices.
  4. Butter it up: Butter the outside of the sandwiches.
