- 1 can of tuna, drained
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup diced celery
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of bread
- 4 slices of cheese (e.g., cheddar or American)
- Butter for grilling
Instructions
- Combine the tuna mixture: In a bowl, mix together the drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, onion, salt, and pepper.
- Build your sandwich bottoms: Spread the tuna mixture evenly on two slices of bread.
- Add the cheesy goodness: Top each tuna-filled slice with a slice of cheese, then cover with the remaining bread slices.
- Butter it up: Butter the outside of the sandwiches.
- Grill to perfection: Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Slice and serve warm: Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
