Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9-inch round cake pan by greasing and flouring it.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, alternately with milk, until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, caramel sauce, and toffee bits.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce and sprinkle toffee bits on top before serving.

For best results, ensure butter is softened to room temperature. Cover leftovers with plastic wrap or store in an airtight container.
