Description

Deliciously crispy bites filled with sweet corn and melty cheese, perfect for appetizers or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • ½ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Large Egg
  • ¼ cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

  • Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Corn: If using canned corn, drain it thoroughly. If using frozen corn, thaw and pat it dry.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, crack the egg and whisk it until frothy.
  3. Mix Dry Ingredients and Cheese: Add flour, cheddar, mozzarella, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the egg. Stir until combined.
  4. Incorporate the Corn: Fold in the corn kernels into the cheese mixture.
  5. Mix Thoroughly: Ensure all ingredients are combined to form a thick and slightly sticky mixture.
  6. Form the Bites: Shape tablespoon-sized portions into small balls or discs.
  7. Prepare for Frying or Baking: For frying, heat oil to 350-375°F; for baking, preheat oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet.
  8. Fry the Bites (or Bake): Fry for 2-3 minutes per side or bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Drain Excess Oil: Remove bites from oil and let them drain on paper towels.
  10. Cool Slightly and Serve: Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
