A comforting and effortless take on lasagna made with ravioli, simmered to perfection in a slow cooker.
Ingredients

- 1 pound (450g) ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 ounces (680g) marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 25 ounces (710g) frozen cheese ravioli (do not thaw)
- 2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Brown the meat in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess fat.
- Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until the onion becomes translucent.
- Create the meat sauce by stirring in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt, and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Prepare the slow cooker by lightly greasing the inside.
- Layer a thin layer of meat sauce at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add half of the frozen ravioli in an even layer over the sauce, followed by half of the remaining meat sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the second half of ravioli, sauce, and cheese, topping with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Slow cook on low for 3-4 hours until ravioli are tender and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Rest the lasagna for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve with fresh parsley garnish if desired.
Notes
For best results, don’t skip the browning step and feel free to experiment with different cheeses or add vegetables.
