- 4 slices of bread
- 4 slices of ham
- 4 slices of cheese (Gruyère or Emmental)
- 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Spread Dijon mustard generously on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer ham and cheese on two slices (mustard side up), then top with the remaining slices mustard side down, forming sandwiches.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat, then grill the sandwiches until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes.
- Fry the eggs sunny side up in another pan.
- Transfer the grilled sandwiches to a baking sheet, top each with a fried egg, and bake for about 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
