Description

Spicy, creamy jalapeño poppers wrapped in flaky crescent dough, perfect for snacks or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and carefully separate it into triangles.
  4. Take a spoonful of the cheese mixture and place it on the wider end of each triangle.
  5. Gently roll the dough from the wide end to the point, creating a twist.
  6. Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. In a small bowl, beat the egg with water, then brush this mixture over the tops of the twists.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with ranch or salsa for dipping. Adjust jalapeño amount based on spice preference. Twists freeze well for later baking.
