- 2 lbs potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, milk, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Whisk until blended.
- Grease your baking dish generously with butter.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the grated Parmesan cheese over the cream.
- Repeat with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
This dish can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated. To reheat, warm in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
