Description

A creamy and delicious potato gratin that elevates any meal, especially during Easter celebrations. Perfect for gatherings with family and friends.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, milk, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Whisk until blended.
  3. Grease your baking dish generously with butter.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the grated Parmesan cheese over the cream.
  7. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let cool slightly and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

This dish can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated. To reheat, warm in the oven at 350°F (175°C).
