- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by mozzarella cheese, and more marinara sauce.
- Repeat layers ending with noodles on top, finishing with marinara and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Feel free to mix in veggies or ground meat for added nutrition. Allow it to cool before slicing for cleaner pieces.
