Description

A comforting and quick recipe for creamy, cheesy mac and cheese made in one pot, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the macaroni, water, and milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until the pasta is cooked and has absorbed most of the liquid, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook until the cheese is melted and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy the delightful cheesy goodness!

Notes

For extra creaminess, stir in a dollop of cream cheese or heavy cream just before serving.
