Description

Delightful and comforting Easy Stuffed Shells filled with creamy cheese and baked in rich marinara sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Fresh herbs (basil, parsley), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente; then drain and let them cool.
  3. Mix ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, chopped fresh herbs, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  4. Stuff each shell with the cheese mixture, filling them generously.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Arrange the stuffed shells on top of the sauce in the baking dish.
  7. Cover the stuffed shells with the remaining marinara sauce and sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella on top.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let the dish cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Customize the filling with your favorite vegetables or proteins. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
