Description

A simple, nutritious treat combining creamy tahini and sweet Medjool dates, perfect for a snack or a dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (like walnuts or almonds)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, blend the pitted dates until they form a sticky paste.
  2. Add the tahini, cocoa powder, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the date mixture with the rolled oats, chopped nuts, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Press the mixture into a lined square baking dish evenly.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares.
  6. Cut them up, serve, and indulge in this wonderfully rich yet healthy snack!
