Description

A quick and healthy take on traditional egg rolls, packed with flavor and minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground meat (pork, chicken, or turkey)
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it glistens.
  2. Add the ground meat to the skillet, cooking until browned, breaking it apart for even cooking.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it wilts.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper, stirring well.
  6. Let the mixture cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
  7. Garnish with fresh green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped bell peppers or crumbled tofu for a vegan version.
