Description

A comforting fried rice dish that combines beef, tangy pickled mustard greens, and creamy cheese for a delightful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 200g beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup pickled mustard greens, chopped
  • 1 cup cheese, grated (such as cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Push the beef to one side of the skillet, and pour the beaten eggs into the other side. Scramble the eggs until fully cooked.
  4. Add the cooked rice to the skillet, mixing in the beef and scrambled eggs.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, chopped pickled mustard greens, and the cheese.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

Use day-old rice for the best texture. Cheese is optional but recommended for added creaminess.
