Description

A delightful dessert layered with strawberries, angel food cake, and whipped cream, perfect for celebrating friendship.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 package (10 ounces) angel food cake, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding (prepared)
  • Optional: mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries and sugar; let sit for about 30 minutes to draw out juices.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. In a trifle dish or individual glasses, layer half of the angel food cake cubes at the bottom.
  4. Spoon half of the vanilla pudding over the cake, followed by half of the whipped cream mixture, and then half of the strawberries.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients (cake, pudding, whipped cream, and strawberries).
  6. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
