Description

A comforting and indulgent loaf filled with cheesy, savory goodness, perfect for using up leftovers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of bread
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C), filling your kitchen with anticipation.
  2. Sauté the ground beef in olive oil over medium heat until browned.
  3. Stir in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Carefully hollow out the loaf of bread.
  6. Spoon the beef and cheese mixture into the hollowed-out bread.
  7. Wrap the filled loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  9. Unwrap the loaf and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use day-old bread for the best texture. Feel free to mix up the cheeses or add veggies.
