- 2 tablespoons Parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Chives, finely chopped
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Paprika (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Steam the fresh crabs for about 10 minutes or until they turn vibrant red. Let them cool before extracting the meat.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Combine the crab meat, garlic butter, lemon juice, parsley, chives, and season with salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush sliced baguette with olive oil and arrange on a baking sheet.
- Toast the baguette slices in the oven for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Spoon the crab mixture onto each toasted slice.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top (if using) and return to the oven.
- Bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts and flavors deepen.
- Garnish with paprika before serving hot.
