Description

A stunning gluten-free red velvet cake with a rich cocoa flavor and creamy frosting, perfect for special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, red food coloring, vanilla extract, and vinegar, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Frost with cream cheese frosting and enjoy!
