A comforting Green Bean Casserole with creamy mushroom soup and crispy fried onions, perfect for gatherings and family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for about 5 minutes, then drain.
  3. Combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  4. Mix in the blanched green beans, ensuring they are coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Add half of the French fried onions, then sprinkle the remaining on top.
  7. Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or garlic, and consider using crushed crackers or breadcrumbs if you run out of French fried onions.
