Description

A delightful cake that combines fluffy layers with a creamy topping, evoking nostalgia and joy in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat on medium speed until well blended. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth. Allow it to set for about 5 minutes.
  5. Once the cake is cool, spread the pudding mixture over the top.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix together the whipped topping, crushed pineapple, shredded coconut, and nuts. Spread this mixture evenly over the pudding layer.
  7. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for the best results. Experiment with different nuts or mix-ins in the topping to suit your taste.
