Description

A heartwarming casserole filled with creamy potatoes and cheese, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups of diced potatoes
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced potatoes, sour cream, heavy cream, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the potato mixture to a greased casserole dish and spread it evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and add breadcrumbs if desired.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven.
