- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and chopped onions until the beef is no longer pink; drain any excess fat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the mushrooms are tender.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the egg noodles according to package directions and then drain.
- Combine the beef mixture with the cooked noodles and spread it evenly in a greased baking dish.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until heated through and the cheese is melted and golden.
Notes
Browning the meat enhances flavor; adjust seasonings to taste. Consider adding breadcrumbs on top for extra texture.
