Description

A simple yet decadent recipe for whole snapper glazed with a juicy citrus-miso mixture, perfect for special occasions or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole snapper, cleaned
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Juice and zest of 1 orange
  • Juice and zest of 1 lime
  • Fresh herbs (like cilantro or parsley) for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the miso paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, orange juice, lime juice, and citrus zests until smooth.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the cleaned snapper, ensuring it’s well-coated inside and out.
  4. Season the fish with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the snapper on a lined baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Ensure your snapper is as fresh as possible; the quality makes a difference. You can substitute with tahini or soy sauce and peanut butter if miso paste is unavailable.
