Description

Tender lamb meatballs infused with aromatic spices and fresh herbs, perfect for family meals or dinner parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g ground lamb
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, spices, salt, pepper, parsley, breadcrumbs, and egg. Mix well until combined.
  2. Using your hands, shape the mixture into small kofta or meatball shapes. Make sure they are compact to prevent them from falling apart during cooking.
  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat until shimmering but not smoking.
  4. Fry the koftas in batches for about 5-7 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  5. Remove the koftas from the pan and let them drain on a paper towel. Serve hot with yogurt sauce or a fresh salad.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh herbs and spices. Adjust seasoning as needed.
