Description

A nostalgic and simple dish celebrating the vibrant flavors of cherry tomatoes and fresh basil, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g linguine
  • 300g cherry tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the cherry tomatoes to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes are soft and have released their juices.
  5. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For added heat, include a pinch of red pepper flakes when sautéing the garlic. Fresh tomatoes can be substituted with canned tomatoes if needed.
