Description

Indulgent marbled fudge brownies with a creamy cream cheese swirl.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then stir in the granulated sugar. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  6. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter. Swirl with a knife for marbling.
  7. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the marbled cream cheese mixture and swirl again if desired.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
