Description

A delicious marinated skirt steak recipe, perfect for tacos, fajitas, or served with roasted veggies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds skirt steak
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, honey, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Marinate the skirt steak in a resealable plastic bag with the marinade for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the excess marinade from the steak before cooking.
  5. Grill the steak for 3-5 minutes on each side until cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Slice the steak thinly against the grain and serve it hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped cilantro or jalapeños to the marinade. Cut against the grain for tender slices.
