- 2 pounds skirt steak
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, honey, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Marinate the skirt steak in a resealable plastic bag with the marinade for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove the excess marinade from the steak before cooking.
- Grill the steak for 3-5 minutes on each side until cooked to your desired doneness.
- Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice the steak thinly against the grain and serve it hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped cilantro or jalapeños to the marinade. Cut against the grain for tender slices.
