Description

A beautifully cooked beef tenderloin, slow-roasted to perfection with a blend of garlic and fresh herbs, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 beef tenderloin (about 2 pounds)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, olive oil, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the garlic mixture all over the beef tenderloin, ensuring every inch is coated.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef on all sides until browned.
  5. Transfer the seared beef to a roasting pan and place it in the oven.
  6. Roast for about 1.5 to 2 hours or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
  8. Melt the butter and pour it over the tenderloin before slicing.

Notes

For added flavor, incorporate a splash of balsamic vinegar in the marinade or blend breadcrumbs with the herb mixture for a crust.
