Description

Light and airy meringue cookies that melt in your mouth, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks begin to form.
  3. Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, continuing to beat until stiff peaks form.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt gently.
  5. Spoon or pipe the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until dry to the touch.
  7. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks, away from humidity.
