Description

A delightful twist on a classic appetizer, these deviled eggs feature a creamy yolk filling enhanced with crispy bacon and a hint of tanginess from apple cider vinegar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 strips of bacon
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped chives for garnish
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, cover and remove from heat. Let them sit for 12 minutes. When done, drain and cool the eggs in ice water.
  2. While the eggs cool, heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy. Once fully cooked, remove it from the pan and crumble it into pieces.
  3. Peel the cooled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Gently remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  4. Mash the yolks with a fork and mix in the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Fold in the crumbled bacon, but reserve some for garnish.
  6. Using a spoon or piping bag, carefully fill the halved egg whites with the yolk mixture.
  7. Garnish the filled eggs with the remaining crumbled bacon, chopped chives, and a dusting of paprika before serving.

Notes

To keep the bacon crispy, add it just before serving. You can customize the flavor with spices or different garnishes.
