Description
A savory and flavorful noodle dish with ground beef, garlic, and a rich sauce, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 10 oz linguine
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 4 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the linguine according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set it aside.
- Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat for a cleaner sauce.
- Sauté the minced garlic in the skillet for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Combine the brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if desired). Mix well.
- Thicken the sauce by mixing cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then pour into the skillet, stirring until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Toss the cooked linguine in the skillet to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef. Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
