Description

A sweet and sticky homemade banana jam infused with lime and cinnamon, perfect for spreading on toast or pancakes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  2. Add the lime juice, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, granulated sugar, and brown sugar to the pan.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture starts to thicken (about 10-15 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  5. Transfer to a jar or airtight container and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks. Can freeze in ice cube trays.
