- 1 cup roasted red peppers
- 1 cup walnuts
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil for drizzling
- 4 slices of bread
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (for spiced bread)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano (for spiced bread)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for spiced bread)
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine roasted red peppers, walnuts, breadcrumbs, pomegranate molasses, garlic, cumin, paprika, and salt. Blend until smooth.
- Drizzle with olive oil and mix well until everything is combined and creamy.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix chili flakes, oregano, and garlic powder with a little olive oil to create a flavorful paste.
- Brush the spice mixture onto each slice of bread, ensuring an even coating.
- Place the prepared slices on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and golden.
- Serve the Muhammara alongside the warm spiced bread for dipping and enjoy!
Notes
For richer flavor, toast walnuts beforehand. Adjust spices according to taste.
