Description

Delightful tarts filled with savory mushrooms and creamy cheese, wrapped in flaky pastry.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or parsley) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares or circles.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté diced onions and minced garlic until soft and fragrant.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until browned and tender, about 5-6 minutes.
  5. Mix in cream cheese and grated Parmesan until well combined.
  6. Place a spoonful of the mushroom mixture in the center of each puff pastry piece.
  7. Fold and pinch the edges of the pastry to seal the filling inside.
  8. Arrange tarts on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Pairs well with a crisp salad or tomato soup. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
