Description

A delightful no-knead bread featuring fresh dill and rich Gouda cheese, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1 cup grated Gouda cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast carefully.
  2. Stir in the warm water until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped dill and grated Gouda cheese.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
  5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently shape it into a ball.
  7. Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven and place the dough inside. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the loaf cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Use fresh dill for best flavor. Don’t rush the rise for optimal flavor development.
