- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 1 cup grated Gouda cheese
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast carefully.
- Stir in the warm water until a sticky dough forms.
- Gently fold in the chopped dill and grated Gouda cheese.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently shape it into a ball.
- Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven and place the dough inside. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the loaf cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Use fresh dill for best flavor. Don’t rush the rise for optimal flavor development.
